Welcome to My Scriptorium

A Lenten Beginning

Lent has always felt like a mirror to me.

Welcome to My Scriptorium. I am Father Nicholas, and it is a joy to begin again with you here. Some of you have journeyed with us for years; others may be discovering us for the first time. Wherever you find yourself today—deep in prayer or just beginning to seek—you are welcome here.

I chose to relaunch this blog during Lent quite intentionally. Lent is a season of holy
reflection, of quiet recalibration, of gentle but honest self-examination. When I look into the mirror of Lent, I often see where growth is needed. Sometimes I see a call to deeper prayer. Sometimes a need for more silence. Sometimes a longing for more beauty—beauty that lifts the heart and directs it toward God.

This same reflection has shaped My Scriptorium.

Over the past year, our store has grown in meaningful ways. We are building a beautiful collection of sacred art and devotional items—icons that speak without words, rosaries that rest quietly in your pocket as a reminder to pray, holy cards and gifts that evangelize through beauty. Our Gregorian chant section continues to expand as well, because sacred music has a unique way of opening the soul to transcendence and peace.

Beauty is not an accessory to faith. It is a window into it.
Lent invites us to simplify, but it also invites us to deepen. It calls us back to what is
essential. And in that spirit, My Scriptorium exists to walk with you. Whether you are searching for a book (remember, we offer free shipping on all books), a thoughtful gift, or a devotional companion for your daily prayer, we are here to serve your spiritual journey.

We are all on that journey together. There will be highs and lows, seasons of clarity and seasons of shadow. Yet we do not walk alone. I am humbled and honored to accompany you in whatever season you are living right now.

May this Lenten journey lead each of us to deeper conversion, greater beauty, and a
more radiant love for Christ.

And may it bring us, together, to a great and glorious Easter.

In the Light and Love of Christ,
Father Nicholas
